User Guide
Copy things as you always do. SyncPocket App remembers them; this guide covers getting them back.
What gets remembered
Every copy operation on your Mac is captured and classified into one of five types:
| Type | Examples | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Text | Notes, snippets, order numbers | Rich text formatting (RTF) is preserved alongside the plain text. |
| Link | https://syncpocket.app | A single http(s) URL with no spaces is detected as a link. |
| Color | #FF6B6B, #1a2b3c80 | HEX colors in #RGB, #RRGGBB or #RRGGBBAA form get a color preview. |
| Image | Screenshots, copied pictures | Stored locally as image files. |
| Files | Files copied in Finder | The file references are remembered so you can paste them again. |
Copying the same content twice never creates a duplicate — the existing item moves back to the top. Ordinary, unprotected history is retained for 30 days by default; Settings also offers 60, 90, 120 days and Forever.
The recall panel (⌘⇧V)
Press ⌘⇧V anywhere. The panel slides up from the bottom of the screen — like Spotlight, it does not steal focus from the app you're working in, so the paste target stays active.
- Search by typing. With the panel open, just start typing to search retained history, Loved, Saved and every Board.
- Filters: All / Text / Links / Images / Files / Pinned.
- Navigate with ← →, dismiss with Esc.
Copying and pasting on Mac
- Click a card → copies it to the clipboard.
- Double-click or ↩ → pastes it directly into the active app (simulates ⌘V; requires the Accessibility permission — see Permissions).
- ⌥↩ → pastes as plain text, stripping formatting.
- Drag & drop → cards can be dragged straight into other applications.
- The context menu (right-click on a card) offers additional actions.
Pinning
Pin an item with ⌘P (or from the context menu). Pinned items stay at the top and are never deleted automatically. On iPhone, swipe right to pin or unpin.
Pinned, Loved, Saved and Boards
Open All Boards to browse every collection or create a named Board such as Design, Research or Client X. Any item type can be added to a Board, and Board membership protects it from automatic cleanup.
- Pinned, Loved and Saved are created automatically on first launch.
- The pin toggles membership in Pinned and keeps the item at the top.
- The heart toggles membership in Loved.
- Save me toggles membership in Saved.
- Add to Board in the item menu lets you choose a named Board.
- Removing an item from a Board does not delete it. It may be deleted automatically after the time selected in Settings when it is on no Board, unpinned and has no uncleared reminder.
Item reminders
Choose Reminder from an item's actions, then select a date and time. SyncPocket App schedules a local notification carrying that item's stable identifier. Opening the notification deep-links to the exact item detail rather than the general history.
A reminder protects its item from automatic cleanup even after the scheduled time, until you explicitly clear the reminder. This prevents a delivered notification from racing with cleanup.
Automatic deletion
Settings offers 30 days (default), 60 days, 90 days, 120 days and Forever. Cleanup only removes items older than the selected period that are:
- not pinned;
- not on any Board, including Loved and Saved; and
- not protected by an uncleared reminder.

Privacy controls
- Confidential content is skipped. Anything a source app marks with the
org.nspasteboardconvention (the de-facto standard used by password managers) never enters the history. - Exclusion list. You can exclude specific apps entirely — nothing copied from them is recorded.
- Local only. All data stays in
~/Library/Application Support/MemoryApp/on your Mac. There is no account, no telemetry and no server component.
Launch at login
SyncPocket App can optionally start when you log in — toggle it in Settings. The app lives as a 🧠 icon in the menu bar and stays out of your Dock.
iOS app
The iOS app shares one memory with your Mac through cross-device iCloud sync. English is the base interface and a complete Polish localization is included, selected with the system app-language setting. Its item interactions are:
- swipe left to move an item to Deleted;
- swipe right to pin or unpin;
- tap to open the detail sheet;
- long-press for copy, pin, heart, Save me, Add to Board, Reminder, safe Open Link and Delete;
- tap an
http/httpslink in details to open it through the system. Unsupported schemes are not opened automatically.
